Behind the Scenes
The team at My Mask Matters is made up of students in the Benton-Franklin area. After seeing cases rise alarmingly in our area, we created these initiatives to encourage our community to choose healthy behaviors for the collective good of the community.

Trisha Boonpongmanee

Hi! I’m Trisha, an incoming first-year at Princeton University interested in computer science and technology as drivers of social change. I’m excited to learn more about the challenges facing our community and to work with the youth to find creative solutions!

Raised and educated in the Tri-Cities, I’m excited to understand and encourage the drivers of healthy individual behavior. I’m a rising sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania, where my academic interests lie in understanding knowledge space through computational methods. I’m also involved in student government. In my spare time, I enjoy coxing and hiking.

Hi I’m Shruti Mehta and I’m a Public Health-Global Health major at the University of Washington. I hope to make a real impact in curbing the spreading of COVID-19 by curating information tailored for younger demographics in the Benton-Franklin county area. Howdy! I’m Nathan, a senior at Hanford High. Some of my academic interests include economics and literature. I feel very fortunate to be able to help try to get Benton-Franklin to a healthier and happier future. In my free time I love to write bad jokes and spend time with my family.

Hi I’m Katherine Rockhold and I’m a Biochemistry major at Western Washington University. I hope to change the way masks are viewed in the Benton-Franklin county area and to get across the role each individual plays in stopping the spread of COVID-19. I’m excited to be a part of this team and work towards getting our area on the right track.
